COURSE: A1.2 Beginner English DURATION: 5 Weeks TOTAL LESSONS: 25 COURSE DESCRIPTION Welcome to A1.2 Beginner English. This course builds on the foundation established in A1.1 and is designed to help beginner learners communicate more confidently about hobbies, health, travel, work, school, and future plans. Throughout the program, students will expand their vocabulary, strengthen their speaking ability, and review important grammar and communication skills through guided practice, role-plays, presentations, and final integration tasks. By the end of this course, students will be able to handle a wider range of everyday situations in English using simple but effective language with greater independence. WEEK 1 – Hobbies & Free Time This week, students will talk about their interests, hobbies, and weekend activities. They will learn how to describe what they enjoy doing, talk about routines outside school or work, and make simple social plans in English. Lesson 1 – Talking About Hobbies Learn vocabulary for common free-time activities and talk about what you enjoy doing in your spare time. Homework: Write 6 sentences about your free-time activities. Lesson 2 – Sports & Leisure Activities Describe hobbies and leisure activities using simple present and frequency words such as always, usually, often, and sometimes. Homework: Write 5 sentences about your hobbies using frequency words. Lesson 3 – Weekend Activities Talk about what you usually do on Saturdays and Sundays using simple present and common weekend expressions. Homework: Write a paragraph about your weekend routine. Lesson 4 – Making Simple Invitations Learn how to invite someone to do something, respond politely to invitations, and make simple weekend plans in English. Homework: Write a short dialogue inviting a friend to do something this weekend. Lesson 5 – Weekly Consolidation: My Free Time Presentation Give a short presentation about your hobbies, free-time activities, or weekend routine using the language from this week. Homework: Write your final 8–10 sentence presentation. By the end of this week, students can talk about their hobbies, describe simple weekend routines, and make basic social plans in English.   WEEK 2 – Health & Daily Problems This week, students will learn how to talk about the body, describe common symptoms, give simple advice, and participate in basic health-related conversations in English. Lesson 6 – Parts of the Body Learn common body part vocabulary and use simple sentences to identify and describe them. Homework: Write 8 body parts and use 3 in full sentences. Lesson 7 – Common Health Problems Describe simple health problems using expressions such as “I have…” and “I feel…”. Homework: Write 5 sentences describing different symptoms. Lesson 8 – Giving Advice (Should / Shouldn’t) Practice giving simple advice for common health problems using should and shouldn’t. Homework: Write 5 advice sentences for common health problems. Lesson 9 – Doctor Visit Dialogue Take part in a short doctor-patient conversation and answer basic health-related questions clearly. Homework: Write your own short doctor-patient dialogue. Lesson 10 – Weekly Consolidation Roleplay: Visiting the Doctor Use the vocabulary and expressions from this week to complete a short doctor visit role-play with confidence. Homework: Write your final health routine or doctor dialogue. By the end of this week, students can describe basic health problems, understand simple doctor questions, and participate in short health conversations.   WEEK 3 – Travel & Transportation This week, students will learn how to talk about transportation, ask for travel information, give directions, and describe places in the city using clear and practical English. Lesson 11 – Transportation Vocabulary Learn common transport words and talk about how you travel using simple present structures. Homework: Write 5 sentences about how you travel to school or work. Lesson 12 – Asking for Directions Learn how to ask simple travel or route questions clearly and confidently in everyday situations. Homework: Write a short directions dialogue. Lesson 13 – Giving Directions Use expressions such as turn left, turn right, and go straight to give clear directions. Homework: Write directions from one place to another on a map. Lesson 14 – Travel Plans Talk about travel-related plans and describe familiar places in the city using simple location language. Homework: Write 6 sentences about a place you want to visit. Lesson 15 – Weekly Consolidation Project: Travel Dialogue Practice asking for and giving directions through a short role-play or map-based speaking task. Homework: Write directions for two different routes. By the end of this week, students can talk about transportation, ask for simple travel information, and give basic directions in English.   WEEK 4 – Work, School & Responsibilities This week, students will talk about jobs, school life, simple responsibilities, and future plans. They will describe familiar work and study situations using practical everyday English. Lesson 16 – Jobs & Occupations Learn common job titles and say where different people work using simple descriptive structures. Homework: Write 5 sentences about different jobs. Lesson 17 – Talking About Work and Studies Describe simple routines related to work or study using time expressions and present tense verbs. Homework: Write 6–8 sentences about your daily routine. Lesson 18 – Describing Responsibilities Talk about your responsibilities at school or work using simple present and common task vocabulary. Homework: Write 5 sentences about your responsibilities. Lesson 19 – Future Plans with “Going to” Use going to to talk about simple future intentions and plans related to school, work, or daily life. Homework: Write 5 sentences about your future plans. Lesson 20 – Weekly Consolidation Presentation: My Future Plans Give a short presentation about your work, studies, responsibilities, or plans for the future using the language from this week. Homework: Write your final 8–10 sentence presentation. By the end of this week, students can describe aspects of work and school life, talk about responsibilities, and express simple future plans in English.
