COURSE: A1.1 Beginner English DURATION: 5 Weeks TOTAL LESSONS: 25 COURSE DESCRIPTION Welcome to A1.1 Beginner English. This foundational course is designed to help beginner learners start speaking real      English from day one. Throughout the program, students will learn how to greet people, introduce themselves, talk about where they are from, ask and answer simple personal questions, describe daily routines, tell the time, talk about food, order in restaurants, ask about prices, describe their home, and talk about weather, clothing, and seasons. By the end of this course, students will be able to communicate clearly in familiar everyday situations using essential English vocabulary and structures with growing confidence. Start strong with Legacy English Academy and build the confidence to use English in everyday life.   WEEK 1 – Introductions & Personal Information This week, students begin speaking English immediately. They will learn how to greet people, introduce themselves, ask simple personal questions, and build their first real conversations in English. Lesson 1 – Greetings & Introductions Start the English journey by learning how to greet people appropriately and introduce yourself with confidence in simple real-life conversations. Homework: Write 5 sentences introducing yourself. Lesson 2 – Countries & Nationalities Learn how to say where you are from, ask others about their country, and respond using simple nationality expressions. Homework: Write 6 sentences about people from different countries. Lesson 3 – Asking Personal Questions Build confidence asking and answering simple questions about name, age, country, and city in everyday conversations. Homework: Write and answer 5 personal questions. Lesson 4 – Alphabet & Spelling Spell your name clearly, practice letter recognition, and improve pronunciation from the very beginning. Homework: Spell your full name and five new words. Lesson 5 – Speaking Task: Personal Introduction Give your first short English presentation by introducing yourself and sharing basic information about a classmate with confidence. Homework: Write your self-introduction paragraph. By the end of this week, students can introduce themselves, ask for basic personal information, and hold a short personal conversation in English.   WEEK 2 – Daily Routine & Time This week, students learn to talk about daily life. They will describe their routines, tell the time, and explain how often they do everyday activities using simple present structures. Lesson 6 – Daily Activities Describe what you do every day using simple present verbs and common routine expressions. Homework: Write 5–7 sentences about your morning routine. Lesson 7 – Telling the Time Learn how to ask for and tell the time correctly using common time expressions in daily situations. Homework: Write 5 daily activities with exact times. Lesson 8 – Frequency Expressions Say how often you do activities using words like always, usually, often, sometimes, and never. Homework: Write 6 sentences using frequency words. Lesson 9 – Describing a Typical Day Combine time expressions and routine vocabulary to describe your full day clearly and in the correct sequence. Homework: Write “My Typical Day.” Lesson 10 – Routine Presentation Project Present your daily routine using complete sentences, clear structure, and the vocabulary from this week. Homework: Write your final routine paragraph. By the end of this week, students can describe their daily routine, talk about time, and explain everyday habits clearly and confidently.   WEEK 3 – Food, Eating Out & Shopping This week focuses on real-life communication. Students will learn how to talk about food preferences, order politely in restaurants, ask about quantities, and handle simple shopping situations in English. Lesson 11 – Food Vocabulary & Preferences Learn essential food vocabulary and talk about foods you like and dislike using simple present structures. Homework: Write 10 sentences about food preferences. Lesson 12 – Ordering Food Practice polite restaurant conversations by learning how to order food and respond appropriately in simple dining situations. Homework: Write a restaurant dialogue. Lesson 13 – Quantities & Shopping Use words like some, any, much, and many correctly when talking about shopping and food items. Homework: Create a shopping list with quantity expressions. Lesson 14 – Prices & Buying Items Ask about prices, understand numbers clearly, and respond confidently when buying simple items. Homework: Write 6 price sentences. Lesson 15 – Speaking Project: Restaurant or Market Role-play Perform a realistic role-play based on restaurant or market situations using the language from this week. Homework: Write your final dialogue. By the end of this week, students can talk about food, place a simple order, and ask about prices in English with greater confidence.   WEEK 4 – Homes, Rooms & Furniture This week, students learn to describe their living space and talk about where things are located using simple descriptive language and common household vocabulary. Lesson 16 – Rooms in a House Name and describe common rooms in a house using clear and simple English. Homework: Write 5 sentences about rooms in your home. Lesson 17 – Furniture & Household Items Learn vocabulary for furniture and household objects and use “there is” and “there are” to describe them. Homework: Describe your bedroom using 6 sentences. Lesson 18 – Describing Your Home Use prepositions of place to explain where objects are located in your home. Homework: Write a paragraph about your living room. Lesson 19 – Household Chores Talk about simple responsibilities and chores you do at home using basic present tense verbs. Homework: Write 5 sentences about chores. Lesson 20 – Speaking Project: Describe Your Home Present your home clearly and confidently, describing rooms, objects, and where things are placed. Homework: Write your final home description. By the end of this week, students can describe their home, talk about common household items, and explain where things are located.   WEEK 5 – Weather, Clothing & Seasons This week connects language to daily life and global contexts. Students will learn how to talk about the weather, describe clothing, and discuss seasons in different places. Lesson 21 – Weather Vocabulary Learn to describe different types of weather using common vocabulary and simple sentences. Homework: Write 6 weather sentences. Lesson 22 – Clothing & Outfits Describe what people are wearing using common clothing vocabulary and simple descriptive structures. Homework: Describe three outfits. Lesson 23 – Seasons Around the World Identify the four seasons and talk about typical weather patterns in different countries. Homework: Write about seasons in two countries. Lesson 24 – Weather & Clothing Together Explain what people wear in different weather conditions using vocabulary from both weather and clothing topics. Homework: Write 6 weather-clothing sentences. Lesson 25 – Speaking Project: Weather Report Present a simple weather report confidently, describing conditions and suitable clothing choices. Homework: Write your weather report. By the end of this course, students can talk about familiar everyday topics such as personal information, routines, food, home, weather, and clothing using simple English with confidence.
